But family was there for me...
Everything started in my secondary school. I used to spend long hours studying and surfing the net. Once I came across a catchy advert: „Daily routine all the time? Why don’t you join us?”. I really wanted to try something exciting, that’s why I clicked on it. My life changed, I felt as if I had become more sociable and easy-going but it didn’t last long. While I was talking with my „new friends” I was insulted, my self-esteem went down. They started writing to me more often. I didn’t know how to prevent it, I felt helpless. It was only the beginning of my nightmare! They sent me offensive messages, threatened that they would also show my friends discreditable photos of me. I felt totally depressed and I didn’t know how to deal with it. Fortunately, my family noticed that there was something wrong with me. They insisted on my telling the truth, but I didn’t know how to explain it to them. After a long conversation
I trusted my parents’ advice and we decided to go to the police station in order to reveal all the facts.
Special counsellors helped me to solve the problem. But for my family’s help, I wouldn’t have coped with that.

When cyber comes real
I’m on my way to school. It is the first day after a long summer break, and I am really nervous. New school, new year, new me. Right? My new classmates won’t know who I am, nor how my life was before. The school bell rings. I walk happily into my new school. Someone’s tapping my shoulder. I turn around and see him . The worst bully of them all. He smiles. ”Hello you faggot, missed me?” he says. The whole school seems to freeze. Everybody’s watching us. I can’t handle this. He can’t be here. Ever since the Internet had its breakthrough he was the one that made my life a living hell. And now he will tell all the other about me, about how weird and stupid he thinks I am. He will show them my blog, my Facebook profile and all the stupid comments I always get.
How could I even think something would change? This will never end.

tyler clementi (1991-2010)
It was during the summer after his high school graduation that 18-year-old Tyler Clementi began sharing that he was gay. Clemenit’s room mate during his freshman year at University, Dharun Ravi, used a webcam in September 2010 to stream footage of Clementi kissing another man. According to the Tyler Clementi Foundation, the teenager learned through his room mate’s Twitter feed that he had become “a topic of ridicule in his new social environment. On September 22, 2010, Clementi committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge. Less than a week after Clementi’s death, Ravi and Molly Wei, the hallmate whose computer Ravi used to spy on Clementi, were charged with invasion of privacy. In May 2011, Reuters reported that Wei entered a plea deal requiring that she testify against Ravi. A jury convicted Ravi on 15 criminal charges, and he earned early release 20 days after beginning a 30-day jail sentence.

Famous actress Mary Jane was a victim of cyberbullying. Her story was publicized in the media. This drew attention to bullying on the Internet. It all started when suddenly a bully obtained her phone number and her e-mail address. At the beginning she received a few mails and texts, so she disregarded that but after a month it started increasing in frequency. She didn’t know what to do and she couldn’t cope with that situation herself. She asked the police for help. Then a few IT specialists checking the IP address found the bully. It turned out that it was her neighbour, who was jealous of her wealth.
Now she is careful and she shares her phone number and email address only with trusted people.

Bullied till the end...
Imagine this young girl, full of emotions and sensitivity. She grew up in a lively and well-established family which always had a good reputation in the small village they were living. There was her father, a well-paid man with a positive presence and her mother, a good looking women with a fulltime job. As you can expect, her parents had high expectations for their daughter. Early on she recognized that she wasn’t as extroverted as her parents were, so it was always hard for her to satisfy their ideals. Since childhood, she hasn’t got many friends, therefore she was a very unhappy child. When she started the middle school, it was getting worse and she came home depressed every day. She entered the house, went directly into her room and started crying almost every day. She couldn`t see any escape from this situation. After a long, sad time she was walking along the school corridor, when suddenly an attractive boy asked for her name. She couldn`t believe it when she had his number on her phone. This boy was the beginning of a great time in her life. It was too good to be true. After a long great time with him, he started to ask her some strange questions, like sending some nude pictures. Without thinking too much she did it. The next day in school she was in good mood having dreamt about her boyfriend all night. Some schoolmates passed and suddenly they started to laugh at her. This made her curious, so she asked one of the classmates what was wrong. She wanted to curl up and die when she saw a picture of her body on the handy screen of her classmate. It was a big disappointment. It was the beginning of a long sad time and a long time as a target for bullying. 3 weeks after many attacks on her and a broken heart, she was devastated, so she took the sleeping pills of her mother.
The next morning, it was the 4th week after the pictures of her had been put online, she explained to her parents that she had caught a flue, so it would be the best to stay home. Sadly it was a pretext to put an end to it. When her parents left the house, she looked at the pills in her hands and swallowed them all. Slowly she sank down in tears.

One true friend till the end
Five years ago, a new girl moved in next door, I thought that she was really pretty and seems kind. My mom and I knocked on their door and wished them welcome to the neighborhood. The girl was named Ella, and her mother told us that she had been bullied at her old school and that’s the reason why they moved her. I felt really sorry for Ella, and that I will try to talk to her and maybe we could become friends. I invited her over to watch a movie, and she said yes. My mom and I bought candy and pizza for me and Ella. After we had watched the movie, we started talking, and she said ” I know my mom told you the reason why we moved here” I said yes. And she started telling me the reason why she got bullied, and she cried when she told me.
The people who bullied her were her friends, and they sent her mean messages where they told her that she was ugly, fat, and not cool enough to hang with them. They did this every day, Ella stopped coming to school because she was afraid that they maybe would say things to her. She kept it to herself, she did not tell anyone about the messages she got, and every night she cried her self to sleep. But one day her teacher called Ella`s mother and told her that Ella had not been to school for the last weeks. Then Ella`s mother found out something was wrong, and she asked Ella what was wrong. Ella just stared crying and started telling about the messages she got. Her mother was in shock, and couldn’t understand why they sent those messages.
The day after did her mother called the school, and told the reason why Ella wasn’t at school. Her teacher asked Ella and her mother if they wanted to report the bullies to the police, but Ella didn’t want that because she was afraid that it could get worse if they knew she had told her mother. After a couple of days Ella`s mother found out that they could not live here, because it was not a good place for Ella to be. She decided to move, and found the house next door. And the girls stopped sending messages to Ella. Something everyone is happy for.
Now me and Ella have been friends for many years, and I really feel like we are best friends, almost like sisters. And I wish Ella all the happiness in the world, because she is the best person I know.

Online life is not real life
It happened two years ago. It was a sunny day. I wanted to check my messages on Facebook. When I replied to a message from one of my ‘friends’, suddenly I got invited to accept friendship. Out of curiosity I checked the person who seemed to be nice and I accepted that invitation. We wrote to each other for two months. Step by step we got to know each other better and better. I could trust him, I could tell him all my secrets. I sent him my private pictures. He promised that he wouldn`t share them. But unfortunately, he did it. He told my classmates things that I had never done. My friends started to ridicule me. He sent more and more messages and pictures that humiliated me. I did not know what to do, I was afraid to talk about it to my mum.
But one day I thought it was enough. I reported it to the police. The next day my ex-friend was arrested. Now he is waiting for a trial.
Now I have moved to another town, I have new friends and I am finally happy.

Decision which changed life
This terrifying story happened to my friend two years ago. She was 16 years old and she felt very lonely, misunderstood by peers so she decided to live in a virtual world. She didn’t realize that this decision would change her life forever. That is how her nightmare began. She logged in some kind of social networking site and started participating in conversations with strangers. She made a relationship with a boy, who claimed that he was 20 years old and understood her problems. Their friendship was getting better and better, so after a month he insisted on meeting her, but she knew it wasn’t a responsible idea. Then it started… Not only was he sending Lara messages hundreds of times a day, but also he wanted her to send him personal data. She made a decision to cut down on using the Internet, but he threatened that if she didn’t meet him, he would find out where she lived. She didn’t want to tell anyone about her problem and she was afraid of going anywhere. Her parents realised that her daughter had changed and started worrying. Finally, she told them what had been happened in the last month. Thanks to the police help the bully stood a trial.
Now Lara helps other people who have become victims of cyberbullying.
